EC Lead Teacher
Amy Pine
Amy Pine graduated with a bachelor's degree in outdoor leadership from Warren Wilson College in Asheville North Carolina. She has extensive experience working with youth and families through community organizations and schools, most recently as the Lead Teacher for the Marigold Classroom. Previous to this, she was a Lead Teacher at the Little Green Sprouts Preschool and was an assistant teacher in the kindergarten at the former SFWS for 4 years prior to their closing. Amy has advocated for homeless youth at Youth Shelters and children and families experiencing domestic violence at Esperanza Shelter. She believes that fostering the love of learning through play, social emotional support and guidance is the foundation of early childhood education and when children are engaged with the natural world they are able to develop creative and critical thinking skills.
She enjoys spending time in nature, exploring arroyos with her doggy, and crafting.

Parent & Child Teacher
Jill Mccormick
Jill McCormick has been a Waldorf-trained kindergarten teacher since 1988. Some of her experience was here at the Santa Fe Waldorf School where she has also taught handwork and chorus.
She specialized in human development and preventing learning difficulties through Gradalis and West Coast Institute. She was in the masters program at Antioch University NE for Waldorf Education as a Healing Art. Her path then led her to the study of the healing energies of Tone, Color and Movement through Tamado Academy.
Jill especially enjoys singing and storytelling. She has sung with the Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble, First Presbyterian chancel choir, and Santa Fe Symphony Chorus. Her other joy is needle felting and making fairytale pictures.

Program Coordinator
Karleen whitcomb
Karleen Whitcomb holds a bachelor’s degree in music and art from the University of Northern Colorado. She received early childhood teacher training and grades teacher training from the Micha-el Institute and completed the summer sequence Waldorf Teacher Training Program through Antioch University of New England.
She enjoys gardening, singing, learning to play mandolin and good conversations with friends new and old.

Administrative Coordinator
Jennifer Gutierrez
Jennifer Gutierrez is a Santa Fe native and received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. She worked at the former Santa Fe Waldorf school as an office coordinator and administrative assistant for 3 years. Her role allowed her to engage deeply with the educational community, where she witnessed firsthand the unique approach of Waldorf education.
In her personal life, Jennifer is a devoted family person who loves to explore new places with her loved ones. Her adventures often involve discovering the beauty and culture of new destinations, which she finds enriching and inspiring. Above all, Jennifer cherishes the time spent with her daughter and son, striving to create lasting memories and instill in them the same love for exploration and learning that she holds dear.

EC Assistant Teacher
Mary Moon
Mary Moon has a bachelor’s degree in History, with a minor in Women’s & Gender Studies from the University of Montana. She has received Forest School Practitioner training from Archimedes Earth and recently worked as a teacher at The Happy Place Forest School. Before that, Mary enjoyed volunteering at nature-based preschools attended by her children. She is currently pursuing a teaching license from Santa Fe Community College.
Mary loves spending time with her family, reading historical fiction, photography, baking cakes, and hiking with her dogs.
